in business, government and the
community sector. In her career, Kelly
has led the charge to boost clean
energy, make homes more energy
and water efficient and make recycling
cheaper and easier. She’s written
world-first water and marine protection
policies and successfully stopped an
environmentally destructive new coal
plant being built in the Latrobe Valley.
She believes strongly in utilising ‘people
power’ and ‘un-usual’ partnerships to
advocate for a better, safer environment

role with the ACF, Kelly believes that the
power of the people is greater than the

OzHarvest- the first perishable food
rescue service in Australia. She
has received numerous awards and
recognitions including in 2010 receiving
the Local Hero Australian of the Year
RONNI KAHN: THE STORY
Wanting to make a significant
contribution to society, Ronni Kahn, in
2004 founded OzHarvest, Australia’s
first perishable food rescue organisation
collecting excess food from commercial
outlets and delivering it, direct and free
of charge to charities. She shares her
story of inspiration and her learnings in
the past 11 years with OzHarvest.
