The Planting site address is:
87 Woodrow Road, Stanmore 4514
The festival site is a 500 acre
property. The site is developed into
parklands dedicated to the arts and
humanities, however it is still a
bushland setting and we request for
your own health and safety that you
follow these guidelines:
• Footwear is strictly compulsory. Be
aware of the possibility of snakes,
stinging plants and insects.
• Watch your footing. This festival is
on a bushland site and the ground
• Do not light camp fires.
• Please stay within the festival
grounds. Do not enter forestry area
or neighbours’ property.
• All tap water on site is of drinkable
quality. Dam water and creek water
are unsuitable for drinking.
• No swimming in dams. Water quality
is not suitable for swimming.
• Every drop of water is precious, so
• Plastic, sharp objects, cans and
cigarette butts all endanger native
wildlife, please dispose of them
• Children must be supervised at all
times. You are in the bush.
• Remember - hollow logs, old tyres
and gullies may be the habitat of
snakes, insects, birds and other
animals. Please leave these well
The Planting welcomes people with
disabilites. We are constantly working
on ways to improve the site and the
experience for all but we do need to
advise that the festival site does offer
some challenges for those with mobility
problems. The event is held on a rural
property (an old dairy farm) and the
terrain is often uneven and/or sloping.
The pathways are either dirt or gravelled
and can be difficult to negotiate for
people in wheelchairs or with mobility
problems. The disability amenity blocks
provided are clean and sturdy, but
basic. If you feel that you would benefit
from the support of a carer while you
are at The Planting, it may be possible
for the carer to receive a complimentary
ticket. Such tickets are allocated on a
needs basis. For more info please email
