HOW TO GET THERE
Driving from South - Drive along the Bruce
Highway from Brisbane. Turn left at Highway 85
(to Kilcoy) and follow the D’Aguilar Highway to
Woodford. Travel four kilometers after Woodford
and turn right towards Beerwah, travel one
kilometer, then turn left into Woodrow Road.
Driving From North - Turn off the Bruce Highway
at Highway 85 (Kilcoy), just short of the Caboolture
turnoff, and follow the D’Aguilar Highway to
Woodford. Travel four kilometres after Woodford and
turn right towards Beerwah, travel one kilometre,
then turn left into Woodrow Road.
A popular option is to take your bicycle on the
train to Beerwah, Beerburrum or Caboolture
stations, and then it’s a 25 to 30 kilometre ride to
Woodfordia. Detailed route descriptions are on

Carpooling is a great low impact way to get to the
festival. We recommend visiting www.coseats.
com for more information.
To help with the working bees would you please
wear closed in shoes, sunscreen, hats, gloves,
secateurs, mattocks, forks and plant identification
knowledge. For those seriously into maintenance,
please bring your brushcutters.
The festival site is a 500 acre bushland. For your own
health and safety please follow these guidelines:
• Footwear is strictly compulsory. Be aware of
the possibility of snakes, stinging plants and
• Please stay within the festival grounds. Do not
enter forestry area or neighbours’ property.
• Dam water and creek water are unsuitable for
drinking or swimming.
• Plastic, sharp objects, cans and cigarette butts
all endanger native wildlife, please dispose of
• Children must be supervised at all times.
• Remember - hollow logs, old tyres and gullies
may be the habitat of snakes, insects, birds
and other animals. Please leave these alone.
It will be quite cool at night, so come well
prepared with warm bedding and clothes. We
suggest that you pack an umbrella or raincoat,
and suitable shoes, in case of rain. There is
no electricity available on-site for patron’s
campsites unless they require it for life support
equipment. Please lock all valuables in your
car. No fire, glass or animals are allowed on the
festival site. Please do not drive around the site
once you have set up camp.
As The Planting is held in Autumn, expect
mornings to be cool and the evenings chilly to
cold. The days can range from sunny to quite
hot with the possibility of rain.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be available
from Friday evening to Sunday morning at The
Duck and Shovel and Spaghetti Junction for a
reasonable price. Campfires are NOT permitted
– gas cooking is fine.

The Planting welcomes people with disabilities.
We are constantly working on ways to improve
the site and the experience for all but we
do need to advise that the festival site does
offer some challenges for those with mobility
problems. If you feel that you would benefit
from the support of a carer while you are at
The Planting, it may be possible for the carer
to receive a complimentary ticket. Such tickets
are allocated on a needs basis. For more info

Recycling stations & bins can be found on the
festival streets and at the amenities blocks in
the camping and parking areas.
Please use the marked compost bins to
dispose of your organic waste as we have an
on-site compost program in place.
