to blend herbs and honey for a delicious medicinal experience that

MAKE YOUR OWN BAMBOO CUTLERY
Enjoy working with the versatility of bamboo in a finer application,
to create useable cutlery. Don from Bamboo Yurts leads a practical
workshop to create neat utensils for putting in your pocket to take
home. Bring tools like small saws, varieties of sandpaper and other
woodwork tools if you have them. $15 per person.

BAMBOO SCULPTURAL DESIGN MASTER CLASS
Working with the natural forms and qualities of bamboo brings many
rewards and challenges for visual artists, architects and builders
alike. Renowned Belgian bamboo artist, Georges Cuvillier shares
his passion for working primarily with bamboo and in this workshop
will share his knowledge of designing and building with this versatile
material. Participants will have the opportunity to design and create
a 3D scale model. $30 per person.

NATURE THROUGH THE LENS
Capturing images of the natural environment as well as the creatures
within it can be a challenge. Josie Fraser uses her background in
ecology to inform her photography. In these workshops she will talk
and walk through setting up the ideal light, composition and subject
matter of a good nature photograph. Bring along any camera that
you are comfortable using.

Bee One Third pioneer Jack shares his passion for keeping healthy
and happy bees in urban environments. In this presentation, he
shares some background and methodology into forming Bee One
Third and gives practical demonstrations of what it means to keep
bees at home.

VINE BASKETS USING WEEDS
Ever wondered what to do with the noxious, vigorous vines after we
have pulled them out of our native forests? This workshop will help
you to identify some common weedy vine species and learn an easy
basket weaving technique to create your own basket. Please bring

Want to get creative with your weeds and turn them into fancy
wearable art pieces that you can wear around the festival and other
fun events? Learn about the many different local weeds of southeast
Queensland that in the wild are a pest, but in the hands of a crafty
creator become sustainable art material which can be fashioned
into such things as head pieces, jewellery and costumes. You will go
hunting for weeds as part of this workshop. Please bring secateurs.
